World waste could grow by 70% , warns World Bank

Global waste could grow by 70 per cent by 2050 as urbanization and population rise, South Asia and Sub Saharan Africa Said to generate biggest increase in rubbish as of now. It is often the poorest in society who are adversely impacted .Over 90 per cent is dumped openly in lower income countries because of low treatment facilities. Plastics which can contaminate the earth for thousands of years contributes to 12% of all waste.Adequate financing and disposal is one of the biggest issues for cities. :- World Bank.
